Growing Fresh Food, Skills, and Community
Since 2013, the Brownsville Wellness Coalition's Community Gardens have helped families and individuals grow fresh, nutritious food while learning sustainable gardening practices.
Growing Healthy Communities Through Sustainable Gardening
Our Community Gardens are more than places to plant vegetables, they're outdoor classrooms where people can learn organic gardening, regenerative agriculture, and healthy food production through hands-on experience.
Whether you're growing your first plant or already have years of gardening experience, BWC provides the garden space, seeds, tools, compost, and guidance needed to get started.

🌻 Grow With Your Community
Our gardens help make fresh, locally grown food more accessible while creating opportunities for people to learn, connect, and share.
Some gardeners grow food for their households, while others share their harvest with friends and neighbors or even become vendors at the Brownsville Farmers' Market.
By reducing food waste, supporting local food systems, restoring healthy soil, and encouraging environmental stewardship, our gardens help create a healthier and more sustainable Brownsville.
Want to Help Our Gardens Grow?
Our Community Gardens aren't just places to grow food. Volunteers help create welcoming spaces where neighbors can learn, connect, and grow together. Whether you have gardening experience or simply want to lend a hand, there's a place for you.
